Tango is danced in Spanish is a collection of books aimed at tango lovers from around the world, who want to delve a little deeper into the history, the characters and the poetry of this artistic expression of the Rio de la Plata that is already part of the world's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
Each book is composed of five units, centered on a song, with the following structure: Start. An infographic allows to understand the sociocultural context related to the song. Tango. An exercise on the tango lyrics is followed by a sheet with definitions of lunfardo words (identified with ◆) and general Spanish words (marked with ◇) present in the song. Exercises. There are activities focused on vocabulary, grammar, listening comprehension, reading and writing based on each song. Expansions. We include fragments of other tangos conected to exercises that allow to establish similarities and differences.
The book is accompanied by the five songs (tracks that are available on our YouTube channel). The solutions to the activities and the transcriptions of all the material are included at the end of the book.
