FRANCISCO SALAS MOLINA

Holds a PhD in Engineering from the Universitat Politécnica de València and the Instituto de Investigación en Inteligencia Artificial under the Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, Industrial Organization Engineer and Technical Engineer in Industrial Electronics from the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia and Master in Business Creation from the Universidad de Valencia.

He is currently a professor in the Business Management Department of the Faculty of Economics of the Universitat de València. He develops his research in the confluence of Economics, Operational Research and Computer Science. His work on multi-criteria decision theory and quantitative methods for finance has been published in prestigious research journals such as the International Journal of Forecasting, Computers and Operations Research or Annals of Operations Research.

In 2008, he received the First Prize of the Fundación Ruralcaja for the Best Business Article organized by the Escuela de Negocios Fundesem of Alicante. In 2019, his doctoral thesis received the Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis in Multicriteria Decision awarded by the Multicriterio Decision Group of the Sociedad Española de Estadística e Investigación Operativa.
