From the first minute...

Parolas Languages was born in 2017 as a publishing project, with the aim of offering the reading community a variety of titles focused on learning Spanish, mainly, but also with the desire to delve into other languages such as Chinese, French, Italian, Catalan or English (HABLA+ section).

Heir to the now defunct Argentinian publishing house, Voces del Sur, founded and directed by the linguist Claudia Oxman. This undertaking created genuine material on the linguistic variety used in the Río de la Plata, books that had not been commercially available until then, and which set a precedent for students, mostly from the United States, who travelled to Argentina and the Southern Cone with the intention of perfecting their Spanish.

Parolas, by building on what had gone before and thinking differently, it tried to make its way in the complexity of today's publishing world. For this we deconstructed ourselves and began to imagine in digital.

We consolidated an invisible stamp with completely square copies, thus moving away from the usual book format. We wanted to do something different and we wanted it to look different.

Then there was the home-grown imprint of developing each material with the process of a complex and careful work of art: meetings, ideas, authors, coffees, manuscript, designer, cover, model, layout, programmer, ebookcontent, content, content, content, publishers, correction and more correction, validation and finally... implementation. The moment when the 3.0 book ceased to be ours and became everyone's, located anywhere in the world, with just one click.

Actualmente Parolas, sin dejar de lado los idiomas, se constituye como un proyecto formativo de e-books with a marked didactic and playful aspect (EDUCA+ section), with books ranging from grammar and literature, children's stories, games, storytelling, history, mathematics, science and music.

Our strategic line as an independent publishing house is to make the books we would like to read. A hunger and an autonomy that leads us to continue immersing ourselves in new registers to expand the project to other disciplines of knowledge and illustration.

We define ourselves as free creators, with a markedly wild bias.
