The Avant-Garde for children is a book thought as a tool directed to parents and teachers to help them explain, to children and teens, the updates that the artistic Avant- Garde introduce in the history of art. We try to show the motivations that carried out these artists to break with the past and introduce new paths for paint and art in general. At the same time we introduce different art workshops with each movement to practice with kids and teens the things we explained. These workshops could be done at home or classroom and develop all short of technics and materials. We work the multiple versatility of the Avant-Garde to approach the way of painting, the color theory, the composition, the collage, the photography, the dreams world and even the differentclaims.
We said the book is for parents and teachers but the book is also directed to thosecurious people that want to understand the Avant-Garde and it develop from World War II to the postmodern movements of the 60s and 70s. The content of the book is explained with a simple language, far from technicalities, with a big graphic support. We try to unveil the secrets and main innovations of each artistic Avant-Garde.
